Site Manager

FATA is seeking a Site Manager to oversee conveyor projects.  It is a full-time position with an anticipated full time travel requirement.

Job Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day Site installation and integration of conveyor projects
  • Manage the day-to-day site safety tasks
  • Understand FATA’s scope of supply for the project and be able to recognize tasks that are outside of the scope
  • Attend weekly Open Issues meetings and manage the field tasks on the list
  • Coordinate between FATA, Owner, and miscellaneous subcontractors in order to complete the installation and commissioning of FATA’s conveyors

Experience

  • A minimum 5 years Site Management experience in the Conveyor industry
  • Must be able to generate documents in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in using Microsoft PowerPoint would be a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or significant field experience working with multiple trades.
  • Solid communication skills.

Controls Engineer

Direct Supervisor:  Electrical Engineering Manager

Required Skills 

  • Thorough understanding of 24v DC, 120v AC, 240v AC, and 480v AC electrical circuits, in both single and three phase.
  • Thorough understanding of VFD motor controls.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Ability to be a great team player who works well with our customers, company management and the project team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel within North America including Mexico up to 25% of the time

Job Duties

  • Lead a team of electrical engineers designing all types of conveyor components and systems
  • Interface with project engineering/management to verify equipment requirements
  • Liaising with electrical and software engineers and vendors in product development
  • Attending design reviews, and customer job-site meetings, when required
  • Travel to customer meetings, manufacturing vendors or job sites.
  • Provide technical support to project managers, equipment assemblers and site supervisors
  • CAD Design, development and engineering from a conceptual idea.
  • Perform duties of the mechanical engineer or designer when requested

Experience

  • Conveyor Systems for the Automotive Manufacturing
  • Familiar with GM, Ford, and FCA Electrical Controls Standards
  • 4 Year Engineering Degree
  • Minimum of three years experience designing PLC Systems

Mechanical Project Engineer

Direct Supervisor:  Mechanical Engineering Manager

Required Skills

  • Experience in detailed system and component mechanical design (conveyor experience preferred)
  • Proficient 2-D AutoCAD experience is required
  • SolidWorks or Inventor 3-D design experience preferred (FEA is a plus).
  • The ability to quickly concept cost effective solutions to a customer’s requirements/changes
  • Ability to perform design calculations (i.e. drive sizing, machine elements, structural elements, etc.)
  • Preparing Excel spreadsheets – capable of writing formulas
  • Must be well organized and have a keen sense of urgency
  • Able to prioritize several concurrent projects in order to meet schedule milestones
  • Generate engineering release requisitions
  • Documentation control
  • Field engineering
  • Drawing checking

Buyer/Expeditor

Job Description:

Assisting the Purchasing Manager and Senior Buyer in the day to day duties and operations of the FATA Automation, Inc. Purchasing and Spares Dept. This is a hybrid role, which will include spare parts purchasing and processing.

Duties:

  • Familiar with, or capable of learning, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Develop new business and and maintain strong supplier relationships with existing partners
  • Purchase commercial items
  • Expedite open purchase orders for contracts and spares
  • Make MRO purchases (both operations and supplies)
  • Purchase industrial commercial items, including but not limited to: gear motors, electrical commercial items, cable, controllers, connectors VFD’s Etc. and power transmission items in assistance to the Senior Buyer and direction of Purchasing Manager
  • Make credit card and subscription purchases
  • Make system PO/ERN error corrections.
  • Assistance in packaging spares orders for shipment
  • Assisting the Purchasing Manager and Senior Buyer as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Manufacturing – Industrial Purchasing or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage long and short term projects alongside daily tasks, change orders and managing purchasing spares
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP Operating Systems

    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Overtime
