Site Manager
FATA is seeking a Site Manager to oversee conveyor projects. It is a full-time position with an anticipated full time travel requirement.
Job Duties
- Manage the day-to-day Site installation and integration of conveyor projects
- Manage the day-to-day site safety tasks
- Understand FATA’s scope of supply for the project and be able to recognize tasks that are outside of the scope
- Attend weekly Open Issues meetings and manage the field tasks on the list
- Coordinate between FATA, Owner, and miscellaneous subcontractors in order to complete the installation and commissioning of FATA’s conveyors
Experience
- A minimum 5 years Site Management experience in the Conveyor industry
- Must be able to generate documents in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in using Microsoft PowerPoint would be a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or significant field experience working with multiple trades.
- Solid communication skills.

Controls Engineer
Direct Supervisor: Electrical Engineering Manager
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of 24v DC, 120v AC, 240v AC, and 480v AC electrical circuits, in both single and three phase.
- Thorough understanding of VFD motor controls.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage time and priorities.
- Ability to be a great team player who works well with our customers, company management and the project team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel within North America including Mexico up to 25% of the time

- Lead a team of electrical engineers designing all types of conveyor components and systems
- Interface with project engineering/management to verify equipment requirements
- Liaising with electrical and software engineers and vendors in product development
- Attending design reviews, and customer job-site meetings, when required
- Travel to customer meetings, manufacturing vendors or job sites.
- Provide technical support to project managers, equipment assemblers and site supervisors
- CAD Design, development and engineering from a conceptual idea.
- Perform duties of the mechanical engineer or designer when requested
Experience

- Familiar with GM, Ford, and FCA Electrical Controls Standards
- 4 Year Engineering Degree
- Minimum of three years experience designing PLC Systems

Mechanical Project Engineer
Direct Supervisor: Mechanical Engineering Manager
Required Skills
- Experience in detailed system and component mechanical design (conveyor experience preferred)
- Proficient 2-D AutoCAD experience is required
- SolidWorks or Inventor 3-D design experience preferred (FEA is a plus).
- The ability to quickly concept cost effective solutions to a customer’s requirements/changes
- Ability to perform design calculations (i.e. drive sizing, machine elements, structural elements, etc.)
- Preparing Excel spreadsheets – capable of writing formulas
- Must be well organized and have a keen sense of urgency
- Able to prioritize several concurrent projects in order to meet schedule milestones

Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
FATA Automation, Inc. is seeking a full time Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for their main office in Auburn Hills, MI. This is an hourly position, reporting to the Materials Manager. This role is on-site, full time.
Qualifications
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with shipping and receiving skills, inventory and warehousing skills, and materials/logistics planning experience.
- Conveyor system, material handling, system integration, special machine build, or automation experience helpful.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field, but will also consider a combination of experience and education.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel and have good written communication skills.
- ERP/MPR System Experience Preferred.
- Position is on-site, full time, with minimal travel required
Duties
- Must be able to prepare bill of ladings (BOL’s), pro forma invoices, and other customary shipping paperwork, including for international shipments – USMCA and overseas shipments, primarily from Europe – with limited guidance.
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments to include international shipments and prepare documents to include invoices, BOL’s, pro forma invoices, and labels for transportation.
- Keep all stock organized and labeled. Organize racks and shelving to accommodate inventory, help specify types of material storage systems and implement plans
- Move material and direct material movement to different locations and prepare paperwork and packaging to send items to vendors for outside services
- Review packing slips, count inventory and enter information of incoming material into system.
- Check products being shipped against shipping order paperwork to ensure proper amounts, identification and correct materials are accounted for.
- Check/audit packaging for quality and observe all truck loading operations, bracing and securing of loads to assure safe arrival.
- Oversee Material Handlers in conjunction with their direct supervisor and re-allocate resources, when needed, to complete specific tasks.
- Experience scheduling LTL and FTL deliveries and working with transportation companies and brokers.
- Working knowledge of standard terms and conditions of truck shipping including incoterms and HS/HTS Product Classification Codes, and truck and container types.
- Able to effectively and continually organize job inventory, keeping track of all materials on hand at all times, in an organize manner.
- Manage multiple projects by utilizing strong written and oral communication to establish priorities.
- Navigate ERP system (Infor/Syteline) and work with Engineering, Project, Commodities, and Materials Teams to determine shipment needs.
- Continuous improvement mindset; ability to implement new processes and ideas.
- Develop and maintain logistics support options and perform regular cost-benefit analysis.
- Review and adjust inventory levels according to cycle counts, ensuring appropriate inventory management practices and cost effective operations.
- Work with purchasing department to make sure critical shipments will arrive in time for build.
