Customer Service Coordinator

FATA is seeking a person to handle warranty and post-warranty issues following completion of our projects.  Equally important, this person is being hired to pursue the various automotive plants that have our equipment and sell the “Health Assessments”.  These assessments would lead to larger contracts where we provide equipment and installation based on the findings.  It is a full-time position with an anticipated 10 – 20% travel requirement.  This is a salary position.

A perfect candidate is an energetic individual with project management, sales, estimating, and installation skills.  Strong engineering skills are not terribly critical, as long as the person possesses the capability to open and understand build drawings / plant layouts.

  • Be the initial point of contact for our Customer base in the event of an equipment failure or concern for contracts that we’ve completed.
  • React to warranty or equipment failure issues.  This would include going to the jobsite as necessary, organizing repair parts and local labor, and being on site if required as repairs are being completed.
  • Refine and reorganize the current FATA Automation health assessment strategy and template.
  • Evaluate plants on an in-depth basis to generate a plant-specific health assessment proposal that is based on their specific equipment.
  • Sell the assessment, participate in the actual on-site effort “hands on”, generate the findings report, and provide pricing solution to items that need repair or replacement, then sell the pricing.  FATA has sales staff that can offer guidance and training in the Sale part of this task.

  • A minimum 5 years Project Management and / or Installation Management experience in the Conveyor industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
